Diversity, a multilingual collection of poetry, fiction and essays of International PEN, was founded in 2003 by the Translation & Linguistic Rights Committee of International PEN. Its head offices are in Skopje, the Republic of Macedonia.
Over the past ten years, Diversity has published selections of works by about two hundred and fifty authors from all over the world, as well as anthologies of works from approximately forty different world literatures, which are accessible to the general public on its website.
To date, Diversity has produced numerous translations in a number of languages, mostly from small languages into the working languages of International PEN and into Macedonian, the language of the host and the office of the editorial board of Diversity.
Diversity has also hosted the website of International PEN’s T&LRC and has been transparent in publicizing all important information concerning the activities of the Committee: the texts of adopted resolutions, the agendas of Committee meetings, etc.

Since the 77th PEN International Congress held in Belgrade Diversity was the official web-site of the Women Writers Committee.

On the 78th PEN International Congress held in Seoul Diversity was voted a sub-committee within the T&LRC
