Goran Stefanovski is a play writer. He was born on 27 April 1952 in Bitola. He graduated at the Faculty of Philology in Skopje, at the Department for English Language and Literature. He studied drama setting at the Academy for Dramatic Arts at the University of Belgrade where he got his Master’s Degree for the work: The Scene Guides as basis of the drama setting of Samuel Becket. He worked for the drama editorial at the Skopje TV Station, and after that as a TA at the Faculty of Philology in Skopje. Since 1986 he is a professor in drama setting at the Faculty for Dramatic Arts in Skopje. He currently is living and working in London. He is a member of the Macedonian Writer’s Association since 1979. He was awarded the “Stale Popov”, “11 October”,”Sterin’s Award” (twice), “Vojdan Chernodrinski” (six times) prizes.
